Another FNA for Reuben

Just back and Reuben has had a FNA . Sue says she thinks it is either a histiocytoma or a cancerous tumour . The advice would usually be to wait for a week or so to see if it grows but being where it is on his inner thigh , if it grows much more she would not be able to get good margins as there isnt much spare skin . Bless him, he was good as gold but could not get out fast enough , now we wait and hope xx

Oh Kate, not the news you would like, so are you having it removed as soon as possible so that you can get a good margin? My vet friend has had the same with her Flatcoat retriever and had it removed and with luck it will not grow again. I am so sorry. If it is a hysteocytoma then that will be good news so fingers crossed

You and Reuben were BOTH brave - no matter how much you like Sue, just going in is going to push both your buttons and set off all your flight or fight responses, so for today try to be proud of yourself and take it easy because you’re sure to be exhausted.

How soon will Sue be able to tell you the results?

Still sending loads of hugs and care from me and Reuben’s brother from another auntie. ❤
