Aspen's paw - Warning: photo of unpleasant cut

Aspen's wound is finally scabbing over. After battling over wearing a mitten for about a week, we've finally gotten to slow down on it always being wrapped because it's scabbing over. It of course didn't slow him down at all but he sure tested my limits of being able to handle blood. He was very good about getting re-wrapped but didn't appreciate having to wear a cone or the mitten so he had to sleep with us so we could make sure he didn't eat the whole mitten

Anyways, here are some before pics of the cut:

And healing...don't mind the cotton bit, that got cleaned up:

But I do adore him with his little paw wrapped up:

And then him feeling better and being his big baby self a few days after:

I am SO GLAD we got through this without an infection or any further complications. He did so well!

That's some neat healing, well done Aspen! He must be a healthy boy to have recovered so well, and credit to you for keeping it clean and changed. I love that last photo, that adoring puppy expression
