Yes, they gave me the option of bringing her home and waiting to see what happened but we saw Solstice go downhill very rapidly due to an intestinal obstruction (grass) so I'd rather be sure. Don't want an emergency in the middle of the night.

Oh no, sending hugs. I thought that banana skin would go right through her, didn't imagine it could make her so poorly.

Poor little GGJ, I never realised that a banana skin could give such problems, hope she feels so much better soon.

She looked quite well when the vet saw her, her gums were nice and pink and she was fairly lively but the vet agreed that an Xray made sense and if she does need surgery I'd rather it happened while she's still in good health rather than leave her to get really poorly.

Just seeing this change in things - hoping GGJ is ok! I didn't know banana peel was risky (or grass for that matter!)

Nothing showed on the Xray but the vet said there could still be something there. She is bright in herself but has been sick again twice. The options are to open her up and have a look, or to give her an antiemetic, bring her home and observe. If she's stopped being sick it's likely to mean that her gut has been a bit inflamed and no more. If the continues to be sick they'll need to take a look inside tomorrow . I've opted for the latter option and the vet said he agreed, so we're off to collect her now.
