I'm going to need a post surgery collar for Homer so he doesn't lick his paw. Any suggestions? Do the inflatable doughnut ones work to stop him licking his paw?

Maybe a sock instead? Or tape it up with vet tape? When Snowie had a grass seed removed from his paw, he didn’t bother with it. We religiously changed the bandage, but when we realised he wasn’t bothering it, we left it off.

I use the trad hard cone because Rory can reach this paw with the other ones. He never has it on for long I'm with him a lot so it's usually ok.

I took the plunge and got one from the vet so I could take his bandage off. He can just about lick his paw and can reach to top of his paw but not get to the wound. Luckily he hasn’t been kicking it much.
just a thought these collars come in different size to go around the circumference of the dogs neck yet they don’t appear to make the padding wider as the sizes increase.

He‘s snoring away by my feet.
