Broken puppy tooth

Glad it all went well. Sounds like the vet did a great job.
She was excellent and very thorough. I was left in absolutely no doubt we were doing the right thing. Actually, all the staff were wonderful, and cooing over her went we went in to take her home. It's funny really, not used to people "Oo-ing and Ahh -ing over our dogs! Generally, I am all set to apologise, so it quite threw me!:rofl:

She's going to he fine she's a Labrador warrior princess they are indestructable.
Too true. Plus in my limited experience with fostering, puppies usually do amazingly well with GA. Ready and raring to go within a few hours. I'm actually kind of surprised at the 10 day activity restriction for Otter. I can see she'd need soft food and how no 'bitey face games' would be important, but could she really hurt herself by having a romp around?

This is an interesting and informative article, and if you scroll to the bottom it talks specifically about baby or "deciduous" teeth. There is a case very similar to Otter, right at the end.

Fractured teeth - baby teeth at end of article
Very good article explaining that (a) tooth fractures are very painful even if you think your dog is behaving normally and (b) why it’s not ok ‘just to leave it’.

Otter has finally settled this morning and is now sleeping. Seriously all the vet advice has gone out the window... since 3 am it has been like she has eaten Mexican jumping beans...zooming around the paddock...(black mark) hanging of Benson's ear..(black mark number 2..) Stripping the bark off an old tree stump (oh God triple black mark...) How on earth can I take her for a post-op vet visit today????:wasntme:
