I posted my daughter’s Christmas present on 7th December 1st class (Norfolk to London) , it still hasn’t arrived. I spoke to an extremely disinterested customer 'service' person at Royal Mail last week who had obviously been dealing with hundreds of queries exactly the same as mine. I could feel the shrug down the phone line - might arrive, might not. Suggested I claim as lost, maximum payout £20 for a parcel with value of £70 plus £8 postage. It seems I should have sent it 24 hour tracked if I actually wanted it to arrive in 2022.
