Our walk started a little rough today..seems like every dog on the block is in "bark mode" today
But once we got going, it was good. Got coffee, worked on "walk nice" and "come back" (to my side) most of the way home, as I didn't feel like watching him choke himself in his attempts to happily drag me back to the house.
When we reached the one corner where he normally asks politely, he didn't ask, he just forged quickly towards the train tracks. No problem, I was going to go that way anyway lol.
Then the dog. Owner and dog on a jog, and I was ready for a reaction. Wasn't ready for the reaction I got though!
Shamas DID lunge to the end of his leash as expected.(No aggression) But then he sat when I body blocked and backed him up a step. Watched the dog go by. and then TRIED TO CHASE IT! Tongue hanging out of the side of his head, while other dog looked back with a clear invitation on its face. All I saw was excitement. The whole time!
Oh and to top it all off, a minute later, he sat nicely 100 feet off to let another reactive dog do his thing at the train tracks. Granted he couldn't see the other dog, but I know he could smell it.
