Was that because he sat/lay in the exact spot you wanted to hoover? And then as you move so does he? As though to say 'leave my fur on the floor Mum'. Maxx does the same; and yes it does lead to unprintable one-sided 'conversations'

Ah no. He was trying save me from the Evil-Sucking-Muntie-Beast-Thing-That-Eats-All-Before-it. He runs around barking and grabbing at it. I thought I'd made progress, the day before I'd run the Big Dyson around and he ignored it (first time ever). The little Shark, however, was too much. KILL IT!
Douglas used to lift his paws up when I hoovered round him, can't think about it too much it makes me cry
