I secretly love it as it our special thing, and I like to think that it is his way to say "I love you Mum .......now hurry up and get my food ready!"
Yes! and I think the same about puppy biting. They bite because they love you and want to play. Pups don’t bite people they are wary of.

Becoming adept a redirecting those bites but still interacting as much with the pup is key, I think.

I remember being made to feel I had a bad Labrador at puppy school cos he snatched treats and came down hard on your fingers.”Labradors have soft mouths. Must be something wrong with him.” In fact, the head of the school wrote on their fb page how concerned she was with all the hard-mouthed Lab puppies, must be a problem with their breeding.

Well, Snowie grew up. And he will never come down hard on my fingers now, immediately stops himself if he feels my flesh—when taking food from my hand. I do love how he uses his little front teeth to try to scrape off pasty stuff from my fingers or from under my nails!

If I’d been sensible and realized puppies grow up, I’d have spared myself the worry of having a dog with something wrong with him.
