Dog prams/buggies

Lilly is really struggling with her arthritis and mobility, as well as her bowel control. It can all be quite hard.
She does still enjoy her walks but doesn't really manage very far.
We are away for a short break, well a week, in about a month, and I have been considering whether a buggy may be sensible.
I am just wondering if anyone has experience of this with labs. I know Miss Nelly has her chariot, but I worry whether Lilly would get in OK, or would settle in it. I'm just not sure.
Any advice would be welcome.

A wee video I took this morning with her walking 😥.
I know this looks pretty bad, she is generally a bit better when she works up some momentum.
Still manages around the park, twice is her preference, but a bit like this walking back up the road home.

My friend Fiona had a buggy for her elderly Fox Terrier, Jessie. Jessie loved it, and would walk over to it and wait to be lifted in every morning. It meant she could get out and about with the other dogs again (Fiona works as a dog walker).

Aww poor girl.:( I assume you want the buggy because you are taking her with you on the holiday? Or to help whoever is looking after her at home?
Either way, sounds like it’s worth a try!

There is a forum on Facebook for dogs with arthritis and they also sell second hand ones. I sent you an invite link from Facebook as I couldn't copy the link.
Thank you.

@Parodius I am wondering about a sling. I'm not sure what type yours is.
I found this one on Ama£@n.
Is this similar.
We are not sure how Lilly would manage with a buggy. She's very stubborn.....

It looks pretty similar, probably a bit sturdier than mine as it has more straps. I got mine from @mazon too, the brand was Noble Duck(?) but I’ve checked and they don’t stock it anymore unfortunately, looks like it’s still available on eBay tho
(Not posted a link before so hopefully you can see this!). Pretty sure I still have it somewhere, would be happy to post it to you if you wanted to give it a try.

Could her ‘stubbornness’ be reluctance due to discomfort/pain and/or nervousness of new things? I find these questions more useful nowadays, especially in the context of known mobility issues - in which case, slow and steady introductions and possibly adaptations (such as a ramp to get in) might be enough for her to get comfortable with a buggy.
