Elbow Callus

While the weather has been so hot , Reuben has taken to lying either on the kitchen floor ( cool tiles ) or outside on the garden path which is in the shade . He now has callus on his elbows so I wondered if anyone could recommend a good cream or balm to apply please ? There are so many to buy but would prefer to know it works well , thank you xx

Homer has calluses on his elbows too, I haven’t done anything for them. His calluses aren’t that big if bigger I would probably be more concerned. Maybe some paw cream, I got some honey wax type stuff for Homer but again haven really used it.

@kateincornwall, Rourke has three lovely, comfy beds but he chooses to lie on the carpet so has calluses like Reuben. I think I will just leave them alone.

Hunter has the same problem too. I have left them until now. However I tried vaseline last week and it seemed to help. He does eventually lick it off though and I can see where he has been lying on tiles!

LOL a friend of G's uses udder cream. Gawd knows what for, I didn't ask, but it got delivered to our house.
He definitely isn't a dog
Creams and ointments will just soften it, you need something a bit more heavy duty to remove hyperkeratotic skin.

A few years ago many people used it for I don’t know what. Then some sort of research was done and it was banned. It was used the same as sudocream now…But they still sell it as uddercream now, and used for cows udders
