Ella's sick

When did she have the Bravecto? It could be a reaction to that. Do hope she’s ok.

Wednesday last week. That's what we were worried about but the vet doesn't seem to think it's Bravecto or tick related. They said more likely a virus or other stomach type thing (avoiding saying blockage).
I'm boiling her up some chicken and rice at the moment but it worries me that she didn't come into the kitchen when I was chopping the chicken. OH did the "cheese packet test" (opening the cheese from the fridge) and all we got was an ear twitch. She's definitely feeling rotten but I'm just hoping it's a virus

We're back at the vet. She wouldn't go near her food and spat out the chicken when I hand fed her. She's really quiet and lethargic and drooling and shifting her weight around. The vet is doing x-rays and bloods to try to rule out blockages, foreign bodies and pancreatitis.

Oh Em she sounds so uncomfortable. I really hope it's "just" a nasty bug. I hope you're able to get some results asap.

She's done two poos this evening and both have been ok. The first one was perfectly kickable and the second was a kickable start with a softer finish.

Glad she’s done some poos. Sounds like she’s in pain. Great that the vets are right into it.

Ok, the pancreatitis test came back normal and the x-ray looked ok. Obviously we can't 100% rule out a blockage from the x-ray but apparently her stomach was making 'good noises'. The rest of the bloods will be back in the morning.

We agreed that it wasn't a good idea to admit her for IV fluids as she's just likely to stress and there's no one in the vet overnight to see if she has any d&v. She's much better at home where I can watch her.
We also have two 24hr emergency vets within a 7min drive in each direction so there's no shortage of help available.

Surely that's got to be a good thing?! Now let's hope she keeps it down.
