Emily and Carbon

Luna got a bit like that earlier when it was still too hot, so we played a new game. It's an Absolute Dogs thing, and basically just for giggles. They try to package it up as a way for training the dog to be confident being close to your body, so they get less fussed if you have to lean into them etc. Well, I dunno about that, but I thought it would be a giggle with Squidge, something we didn't have to think about too much and would be able to interact. Basically, it's a case of rolling around on the floor with a handful of treats, luring the dog to sit on your head. And other body parts. I think Carbon would be a natural :D
Lift your legs, get the dog to pass underneath, make an arch, get him to go under, sit down, get him into your lap, lay on your back, have the dog walk on you. Just generally act like idiots together.

Training? Nah. Fun? Hell yeah. I played it with all three Labs and they were laughing almost as hard as I was. Even Ginny had a go, albeit she was a tiny bit more sedate with it all ;)

Give it a go! Video it or it never happened. Mine never happened :(
Actually, we have a video...only the Beanwood Gang didn't need any luring...did they @Emily_Babbelhund?:LOL:

Oh that's true!! You caught me in the act being sat on by Caspar and being given a famous Benson ear cleaning. I'm sure Brambelina was in there somewhere, but by then I didn't which dog what attacking what body part.

Just a very short post to say thank you to @Naya for a wonderful day out south of Munich. It was so great seeing you and Carbon is one happy and tired pup this evening!

More photos this weekend after I've finished my big German integration test tomorrow and get my regular internet back (hopefully) on Saturday, but for now here's my favourite of Harley's mum and Carbon leaning in for a hug. :giggle:

Ah Carbon looks so chuffed "look who I've got".
I know! He was so happy to see Ternaya again!

Hope the test went well and you are Carbón are having a nice rest xx
Thanks for all the good luck from everyone for the test. Even though it took a lot of time to memorise the 310 questions, once that was sorted the test itself was super easy...10 minutes! So I think I can safely say I've passed the 'integration' part of the residency hurdle. Yay!

An added plus for me was that my internet was back on by the time I got home, so it was Netflix and chill all the way this afternoon. Or rather 'Netflix and swelter'. :D

Carbon was bored out of his little puppy mind, but even a walk to the next square to wee and back nearly did him in, so back inside we tried @snowbunny's game of Doggie Twister and worked on walking through my homemade obstacle course of chew sticks, tennis balls and cookies (for 'don't touch). We're also got in some good 'under' prep by placing his favourite ball under various chairs and tables and spent more time introducing his muzzle for the train. I've got to get a photo of that as it's one of Brogan's old muzzles with white daisies on it. Freakin' adorable on a black Lab.

It's an early morning to the Danube tomorrow where (sigh) I'll give in and let him misbehave with all his hooligan friends. But he was so incredibly good yesterday on the trip to see @Naya that if he goes off the rails a bit and acts like the wacky puppy he is at heart, I really can't complain. At least if the other dogs get really in criminal mode I can throw Carbon's ball out in the Danube to keep him from joining in. The advantage of having the only swimmer/ball-addicted dog in the group!
