Not quite a video (yet...) but managed to snap a few photos....:rofl: You can just about see that Brambles hackles are right up, right down to her tail which she tucks underneath when in "prey" mode. When they switch roles her tail comes back out.

Hellluuuuppppp!!!!

In the garden yesterday, Red was pootling around and I was watching her - we were quietly enjoying the rare sunshine 🌞 even though it was cold. All of a sudden, the dogs at the back of us started their low growls from the other side of the fence. Instant hackles up with Red and I noticed she had a ‘tuft’ of hackles up at the base of her back where her tail starts. Never seen that before. Those dogs really spook her

Not very nice for her
No it’s not. I spent all last summer trying to desensitise her to them but they are just let out into their garden unsupervised. I always go out with her so I can ‘steer’ her away from the fence if necessary. It’s lovely where we live except for this woman with the horrible dogs (not their fault) at the bottom of our garden

These seem a good illustration of how pointless it is to try to judge a dog's emotion / intentions from a still photograph. In the photo both look aggressive - and Otter looks terrifying! - whereas you get a completely different (and true) understanding from the video. I love the way in the video you can see them pause very frequently - 'it's just a game'.
