She is very small, only 13kg, though she eats the same amount Rourke did and he was 30kg. She looks like a Lab apart from her tail which curls, she behaves like a spaniel but has the appetite of a Lab which includes eating unpleasant things which she finds in the fields.

@Jelinga Iām just catching up and to read your update on Flika is just a fabulous start to the new year. You have done an amazing job to get her from the terrified, nervous pup she was to being able to go for walks and enjoy life like a dog should. You really have proven what patience and love can achieve and your story with Flika will give hope to others with nervous, reactive dogs. I hope 2025 brings you and Flika lots of doggy fun

An update in Flicka. She is now 15 months, has just been spayed and is a changed dog. From the nervous, cowering puppy, who if anyone came to the door would squeeze herself into the smallest space of her bed and hide, now rushes to the door, very excited "oh it is someone to visit me". After her first trip to the vet she was so scared, she had nervous diarrhoea all over the back yard when we came home, yesterday we went to be signed off from the spay and she was all wags and cuddling up to the nurse. From the dog who would not go out of the house, she now is eager and walks down the lane with tail wagging and does zoomies round the fields. Everyone says how much she has changed
