Forum very slow

I have had to miss many posts as the forum is very slow at the moment (last three days) and unfortunately I don't have the time to wait for ages, so frustrating.

Yes I have found it very slow too - I know I am not looking at everything but happy to be patient whilst these things can be sorted ?

Yep, I know. I'm in the process of setting up a new server and moving it across, but I have to fit that in around work, sadly. One day I'll win the lottery and won't have to do that anymore!

I'm hoping to get it moved across by the end of this week. We'll have some downtime when it's ready to transfer across, but I'll announce that on the FB page. For now, I'll just keep kicking the server (rebooting) and that will hopefully keep it as fast as it can be - but it is very limited on resources.

Weirdly I have found it faster than usual today. Possible because spiderdog had me up at the crack of dawn where no self respecting people would be posting ?

Sorry, didn't mean to be critical, just mentioning I do appreciate your hard work but must admit I didn't realise the complications of servers etc as I am not really computer literate so full of admiration for your efforts to give us a super forum.

Yes, but it's a secret group so you'll have to be invited by a member. If you're FB friends with somebody from here (which you must be!) ask them to add you.

Re speed - I thought it was just my funky internet so it's nice to know that it's not me.

I had noticed the slow up-take....Figured it was just me, as we've had rotten weather the last couple of weeks and that slows my page loading time. But Howrse loads the same as usual lol. Here and howrse are my personal internet hobbies.

@snowbunny is there anything you don't have your hand in? you seem to be everywhere helping people-no wonder you're so busy!
