Is a lazy sit (for lack of a better term) an English Lab thing? I adore it, but just curious! Axel never sat like this, he always had a perfect pretty sit even when just relaxing

He’s so cute! I have no idea whether it’s specific to English labs, but I suspect it’s probably more a preference for the dog.

I think when they are puppies they do sit like that, mine did, but sat 'correctly' when older. He looks adorable.

Count Yourself lucky Ivers Willie would just flop out too it's just slack muscle it will tighten as he gets older. That's why all that ivers photos are chest up at this age

I call it a ‘puppy sit’ and Red still does it especially at bedtime waiting for her biscuits - I too find it adorable

@Kelsey&Axel Hugo is getting big but still so squishy Hunter sits both ways. He mostly sits up straight but if he’s relaxed or tired he’ll slouch. Scout always sat straight up we’re as Scott mainly slouched occasionally sitting straight. They were litter mates so I don’t know that it’s particularly an English lab thing or more an individual lab thing maybe.

Ahh, very interesting when you can compare litter mates! Sounds like it really is just an individual lab thing. I love it so I’m not complaining Hugo definitely looks very squishable when sitting
