Future Chocco Boy (Welcome Hugo Bear! )

Yes, you're doing all the right things and so you will.
What I think it can be difficult to remember in amidst the madness of New Puppy Time ( at least, I always seem to forget it) is that this all takes time. It takes time for you to get to know your pup, and for him to know you, then just when you think you do, things change because he's growing up. Also building your bond takes time and again there's the element of change there as he grows and matures. Quite often now I find Joy coping well with a situation that would have been difficult to say the least when she was younger. As they say, it's a process, not an event, so enjoy the puppyness and trust that you're doing the right things to help him become a lovely adult dog. You clearly did it very well last time.
Yes, you’re right, building blocks, one day at a time! ❤

You know when it’s quiet… almost too quiet… especially when you have a Labrador pup… well I went searching and turns out him and Gizmo broke in to my room (I keep the door closed) and I caught them playing on my bed :cwl:

From caught in the act to looks of explanation saying ‘I don’t know what you think you saw, but you didn’t’

Hugo turned 7 months yesterday and is 30kg on the dot. His adult canine teeth are starting to come in more so it’s looking like he may have normal adult teeth soon after all, yay!

Hugo saw his friend Toby today! He’s gained 10kg since he saw him last, so that was fun to watch Toby’s reaction 😅 ‘he smells like my friend, but he doesn’t look like my friend.. 🤔

They had a great walk though, definitely a lot more running around and smelling instead of wrestling this time though, they only wrestled once and it was for just a few seconds. Hugo does this weird thing with Toby, and only Toby, he puts his whole head in his mouth! It’s bizarre and Toby is very sweet and just lets it happen, but it’s been a thing since Hugo first met him at 12 weeks, and it’s starting to look like that may never stop 😅

Lovely photos! Zorro (my mum’s younger dog) does this to Kipper, although Kipper’s not keen - it looks like Toby doesn’t mind a bit :)
