Lovely photos! Zorro (my mum’s younger dog) does this to Kipper, although Kipper’s not keen - it looks like Toby doesn’t mind a bit

You'd think most dogs wouldn't be keen! But Toby does have a soft spot for Hugo, he sweetly tolerates things from him that he wouldn't from another dog

And look at his paws!

You're going to end up with another horse sized choccy lab!

He does have some mighty paws on him! I do love my horse sized dogs, though Hugo is more cow shaped I compare photos of him and Axel each month, so cool to see the difference!

Can you tell Hugo was brought up with a cat? He tries to play with some dogs like this too, slightly embarrassing Also very grateful for how patient Gizmo is, he takes some hard blows sometimes!

I don’t think I have either. Axel and Gizmo used to play bitey face a lot, but the pawing wasn’t a part of it at all. I think this all started when Gizmo was trying to get little baby Hugo to not jump at him, he would bat him or fake a swipe, and then Hugo just started pawing back and now here we are 7 months later and they play like this all the time

They're so lovely and gentle with each other - especially when both of them could whack the other for real if they wanted to. Gizmo has been a good teacher! I'd love to see Hugo try to play with another dog like this. The other dog probably thinks, "What kind of superpower wizardry is this?!"

Steve and I have watched this and laughed 20 times! Steve (who used to box) scored it 2 to Hugo 1 to Gizmo for "punches that "landed" . It has brought us so much happiness, especially as we remember the gorgeous relationship between our first lab Benson and my beautiful, best mate Oscar our Himalayan Persian that Steve brought home for our 1st wedding anniversary in 1993

Loooved that video!! Snowie’s bestie, a lab called Sunshine, puts her paw on his head to put him in his place. Sometimes she just bonks him a few times with her paw in his face. Next time we get together, I’ll ask if she was taught this by a cat!
