As you know, Harley’s the queen of paw injuries. Don’t be worried if she limps for a while or seems very quiet, these are both quite normal. If there’s anyway I can help or if you are unsure about anything please do shout as I have sooooo much knowledge around paw injuries.

She's home safe, a bit groggy but otherwise OK. She enjoyed her Sardeenz for tea, judging by the speed at which her bowl shifted across the floor. She's now having a Kong. I happened to have the remains of a bottle of wine, about two glasses worth. I have decided that this is allowed on a Monday, under the circumstances.

The vet said she was as good as gold, despite obviously being scared she let them do what was needed with no fuss. Such a brave little GoodGirlJoy!

Thank heaven it isn't raining as it is the very devil keeping the bandage dry. I had a GSP who must have cut every paw on glass and spattered blood over the vet's waiting room. People complain about dog faeces but there is even worse rubbish thrown by people, ie glass GGJ sounds as if she has been a good, brave girl as has her mother
