@Snowbunn, if it turns out that Ginny cannot take Trocoxil again, if it has done some damage to her organs, try (don't faint) Prednisolone 5mg, one every other day and two drops of CBD oil in her food breakfast and evening meal. Rourke cannot take NSAIDs, causes stomach bleeding. He used to be very lame on his forelegs due to arthritis and tendonitis in both shoulders and now is not lame at all. He still has a problem with his LH hock, but isn't lame unless he just gets up and I give it a good rub. I wish dear Ginny the very best.

Thanks, @Jelinga. To be honest, I will try anything that works, and I'm not massively concerned about long-term damage to her insides. When we got her, the general consensus was that she was about 13 years old, and she's been with us two and a half years now. So, although I don't see any slowing down in her attitude, or her body when the drugs are in effect, I know that her time with us is limited and I would rather it be shorter and without pain than longer and painful. Even knowing she's going to be in pain these next few days is horrible because I think she's had enough of that in her life. So she's going to be treated like the queen she is, and waited on hand and foot until we can get her back on the drugs

Still limping (as best she can!) but still happy. She was very put out when I got back from emptying her and J had moved her "I've just got home and need somewhere to sit" bed!

Oh dear sweet Ginny, you are such a lucky thing!

How has she been over the weekend? So with you on be free from pain front. Especially with how much she has gone through. Ginny is one tough cookie, but she doesn't need to be now.

Casper has has the odd stumble, so subtle I wondered if I had imagined it. Probably not. We are putting together a care package when we next see the vet which will outline exactly what we want for him, so when things get tough, we have it all worked out.

Today didn’t have the best start. I had a nice long walk with the Labs planned, so took her out for an empty first thing. She hopped into the hallway, turned to face me and fell over. She hurt her bad leg in the process and when she got back up, was favouring it, standing on two legs. I brought her back inside and gave her ten minutes. It eased up so I took her out again and she immediately fell again. Vet tomorrow morning.

On the amusing side, when I did eventually manage to get her out, she decided she wanted to go down the stairs and out through the garage instead of up the stairs to the front door. I walked past my car, but she stopped, staring at it, and didn't want to move past it. She LOVES the car, even though she gets car sick. I really had to coax her to move past it and outside

We've just been out to the bottom of the ski slopes for her to have a little mooch with some different smells. Not a walk at all, just an empty in a different place - and she got her ride in the car, too: all of 300m

We had our vet appointment this morning. Her blood tests all came back with good results. The vet examined her and said that she has pain in all her joints, which isn't a surprise. He can't get any Trocoxil in the short term, so he gave her an injection for today and we start her on Previcox from tomorrow, and see how she gets on. Hopefully she'll be back on full form very soon.
