Ginny

It’s lovely to read it written in retrospect after following the episodes. Such a rewarding story and a wonderful transformation!

I will never forget the moment Ginny met up with Fiona when we helped Ginny on part of her journey back to Spain. It was just incredible to witness a dog in such ecstasy and pure joy! I will never forget that wonderful experience.
I debated whether to include that in the story, but it was already getting rather long! :cwl:
You played an important part in her ending up back where she belonged, and I'll always be grateful to you guys for that!

I do so remember when you first met Ginny, Fiona. I kept thinking 'what if it were Poppy in that kennel, would someone be kind to her???' In my heart I was begging you to rescue her... and bless you, you did, and changed her life completely. And of course she has repaid that kindness in spades!
I still remember you saying that, how she reminded you of an elderly Poppy. I don't know that it made any difference, but it certainly didn't hurt her chances of ending up with us ;)

I had a little cross moment the other day. We don't tend to go to our vet in Andorra anymore: there's no parking outside, and it's a fair walk, whereas the vet in Spain has parking right outside the door. Because of that, we tend to do all our vaccinations etc in Spin and they only go to the vet in Andorra when there's an emergency. That to say, Ginny hasn't been there in a couple of years at least.
However, we had to take four of them (the three Labs and Ginny) there to get their DNA put on the new register. J pulled up outside, hazards on, ready to drive around the block if needs be, I ran in with W&S, back to dump them, in with Squidge, back with her, then lastly in with Ginny. Unfortuntely our lovely vet Jordi was on holiday, so we had to see the other one, who I really dislike.
He took one look at me carrying Ginny up the steps and into the surgery and told me that if she can't walk then she obviously has no quality of life.

Firstly, sir, fuck you very much.
Secondly.... no, on second thoughts, the secondly is also, fuck you very much.

You don't know this dog. At all.

We got home and Ginny and I played "you bit my nose off!!" on the sofa.

As he didn't know how you are with Ginny, he might have thought you were one of these people who won't say goodbye and let dogs suffer, we had a client like that. However, when he saw how she was later he should have amended his first thought. Ginny is a very lucky dog x
