I’m in Devon for the weekend, with a change of dogs! The yellow lab, Keats, is a guide dog puppy, staying with my friends while his puppy walker is unable to have him. He’s gorgeous!

The black lab snoozing in the background was puppy-walked by my friends, but sadly didn’t pass his final tests at big school. He’s very laid back and doesn’t expend any more energy than he has to! The other black lab is just a few weeks older than Wispa, but very like Tuppence in character. Three lovely dogs!

They do both. The mix is usually GS/GR

Love all the photos! The curly coats are so interesting. I researched them as part of my breed search - for me they are the perfect size - but the people I talked to all said they are quite serious and independent-minded so didn't recommend a pure CCR as a service dog. But I can imagine how the mix would be perfect.

Someday you'll get your GSD puppy, Mags, I have faith!
