Happy 1st Birthday Reuben

Can honestly admit that at times, during those first couple of months or so , I began to doubt my sanity , wondering what had possessed me to take on a puppy at 71 years of age , but I loved him so much that those low moods didnt last for long . I am lucky, in that he hasnt been a destructive pup , and seemed keen on training , so slowly he became easier to handle and I became less worried . The past two months especially have been grand , he has matured nicely apart from his excitability when facing something new but I dont mind this , it shows spirit and no way am I going to break that spirit and sense of fun . Time has flown , I am so pleased that we had this lad , he adores Nelly too , getting quite worried if she dawdles about and begins to lag behind . He will be my last dog thats for sure so I will enjoy every day , good or not so good , thanks for all the birthday wishes for my dear boy xxxxx
