Hi there and welcome from Maxx and I in Sydney, Australia. Maxx is 10 months and we are going through some challenges right now. But no matter what, we adore him

I am about to disappear for 10 days as we are off in holidays and won't be using our phones but I look forward to catching up on your news and photos of your fur-tribe when we return

Hello and a BIG welcome from little Joy (small black Lab) here in West Yorkshire. My first ever dog, Jones (he was Welsh) was a whippet/ greyhound cross and I have huge affection for these dogs. Joy's first friend as a puppy was a lurcher called Luna, now sadly moved away. She continues to love playing with all sight hounds. Your pictures are absolutely gorgeous. Looking forward to hearing more from you and your beautiful dogs.

Thankyou everyone, photobucket is now playing ball again so this is the rest of the family,

Faith (and my possibility of not being a total imposter here as she's Saluki x either lab or retriever we think - much more Saluki temperament though!)

And Obi

And one more of the little boys just because

Thankyou very much for inviting us as everyone is so nice here, I'm loving reading about all your dog's so far :giggle:

What a great name I love "Jones" ?

Yay! Photos! You should be able to upload photos directly; you happened to send your first post right in the middle of some tech hiccup which is probably why it didn’t work. We’re in ongoing “discussions” ? with our hosting and we’re probably going to be moving again because we get these daily go-slows which last a little while then go away.

I love seeing these beauties, they’re so photogenic and look completely angelic!

Hello, and welcome from me and Xena (2 years old) down near Wellington in NZ. We don't have many Whippets around (I actually wonder if I've ever seen one "in the fur") but there are lots of retired Greyhounds. We initially looked at adopting an ex-racer, but with our then 3 cats and 6 free range chooks we were told "yeah na".
On one of the other FB groups I'm on, there's someone who has a rat and a whippet who play together!! Just....wow!

Stanley is very good with all types of small animals, he's met guinea pigs, snuggled with ferrets, slept near a cat, wandered around with chickens (my friend has a little rescue place) and even been for a walk with a cat on a few occasions, he doesn't have the prey drive my others do and just figures if something is smaller than him he's not scared of it, my others do have quite high prey drives but our first lurcher lived with a cat quite happily, outside the house you had to be careful because any other cat wasn't "her" cat but it's definitely possible depending on the sighthound in question, many rescues here rehome so many successfully with cats, families with cats just wait a little longer for the right houndie to come up sometimes, that said there are still several rescues that don't as standard incase,
