Holly’s not feeling too good at the moment. She’s enjoyed very good health for most of her life, seldom needing to visit the vet. In the last week we’ve been twice.
The first visit was for a common Lab problem: ears. Her left ear was getting inflamed and the usual cleaning regime wasn’t working. It’s now looking a bit better so we have a follow up appointment for Wednesday.
This morning she was vomiting froth and pooing blood-coloured diarrhoea. I’ve just got back from the vet and they think it’s colitis, with an outside chance of a partial obstruction. We’ve got her at home for observation. No food, only fluids with rehydrate sachets. If things look better by the morning then light food, otherwise take her back to the vet.
Just for fun we have workmen arriving today to refit the utility room. No stress!
