Holly died peacefully this morning. Ruth and I were holding and stroking her as she slipped away.
Her heart condition had been stable for over two months but she started a rapid downhill slide on Boxing day. A vet visit on Tuesday tried to stabilise her again. This morning we took the decision that she’d suffered enough. The vet agreed that we’d reached the limit of what could be done medically, snd that prolonging her life would only increase her discomfort.
Ruth and I are just heartbroken at losing our little girl.
