How do you use the forum?

Alerts, then new posts. And in the old forum, then the health category - I guess when it fills up I’ll do this here, too.

On TLF I would get alerts about certain categories (puppies, training etc.) even if I was not in a conversation, on this one I can only get Alerts to show if I am actively involved in a thread or if quoted etc., can I change this setting?

You can click "Watch" at the top of both category pages and individual threads. That will give you the alerts, if they are configured in your Preferences.

What’s new several times a day now that i’m On school holidays, but have a look through the different categories if there’s something i’m thinking about.

I use the Alerts, then Latest Posts on the right hand side. After that, I will visit the individual boards. What I am missing, is a little indicator to say there have been new posts on a topic since I last looked at it. I think TLF has this?

Looking at the main boards page, the paw print is orange if there are threads in that category that have new content since you last checked. Once you drill into the category page, the threads with unread content have bold titles. We can certainly add an icon to show there is new content, though :)

Thanks @snowbunny for some reason I hadn't even noticed the paw print - let alone something orange ?
