Ugh .... all of us want to protect our dogs so when another dog comes rushing over in attack mode I, too, can understand the reaction of the guy in the moment. But to not be willing to speak to you about it or accept any apology...that is really sad. I hope you are able to avoid this guy in the future.

You need good measurements for the Perfect Fit? I will have to find a Dutch/Euro supplier as Brexit causes extra import taxes/ extra delivery costs.

When we got Shams' Perfect Fit, we took his measurements, then bought an extra Girth strap in a Medium, just in case we had it wrong or he lost weight. If Hunter is prone to changing size, it's worth paying for an extra piece to adjust for that.

I did find that Perfect fit hugs in the Armpits a bit, but it has Never caused irritation--unlike every other harness I ever used on Shamas.

Alternately, the OP could use a Martingale--I like the Angel martingale. They're leather and chain. Durable, comfortable, and communication with the dog is easy. Shamas got to understand from the slightest movement of the leash. Plus- it's near impossible to slip a properly fitted martingale. Having a reactive dog myself, that's a thing I look for

Thank you @Shamas mom , I will look into that. I just found a Red Dingo Martingale, from a Dutch site, not leather but a cross between a slip collar and a collar.

Hunter was playing with a puppy this morning and I saw Boa with the man. I am sure he saw me and I think he actually crossed the road on purpose to get closer and rile Hunter. Hunter made very loud GRR and tried to go towards him. So I did the A to B distraction in the opposite direction and used the dried salmon treat to divert him. Hunter then went back to play with the puppy.
I can't control Hunter's emotions towards Boa but I think I managed to control it and get him quickly diverted.
It was a sweaty palm moment, but I have my confidence back!

I am speechless at that man's behaviour. I wonder if he has had so many complaints about his dog's aggressiveness he is jumping at the chance for someone else's dog to be the 'bad boy'. Well done controlling the situation calmly and good boy Hunter!

Good for you Lorraine, A-B really helps out with these situations. I think there's one of these types of owner everywhere. We had it where we used to live with a Boxer owner. He would walk towards us with Charlie knowing his dog and ours hated each other. Even when we were clearly training he would do it. Some people just like to cause problems.
