Hunter has a Suspected Ruptured ACL

I actually now only put the cone on him when I can't be with him. The soft cone makes it really easy to take off/on. He uses it like a pillow. We were having a stare off in the photo. He wanted to lie down in the soil and I wouldn't let him and was tempting him inside with breakfast. If it was colder I would use the Rory t shirt. Ours is brown and boring. I love Rory's. He is back in the bedroom again. He relaxes there and no big movements. Today has been much better and I had a huge power nap!

It sounds like you're all doing really well. I'm glad he has found a place to relax, that's so good for you too, Lorraine x

My pooh dance worked. I waited for his painkillers to kick in after breakfast et voila! :dogpoo:Two bagger! We had a much better night. He actually walks on his back leg a little. Surgeon says it's OK but needs to rest. I think we are going in the right direction. Hot weather is not helping but the bedroom keeps him cool and relaxed. Feeling happier with his progress x

So glad that Hunter is starting to settle more and that he has had a poo 💩 woohoo 🙌
Apologies for not being around much the last few days but had a few mishaps here!
I only used a cone if I couldn’t watch Harley and found that she settled better without it. Great news that he is weight bearing a bit 😊
It’s really hot here too and Harley is struggling to cool down. Luckily her wound is healed so she can lie directly on the cool grass in the shade.

Just catching up. So pleased he had a poo!! I’m sure he feels so much more comfortable. Now you can all relax!! ☺

Wishing Hunter a speedy recovery. Three weeks sounds like a long time for the cone. I’m used to stitches coming out in 10-14 days.

I missed yesterday’s excellent poo news, hooray! It sounds like you’re all doing really well in trying circumstances - this heat must be tough. Have you been able to get some extra sleep? 😴

We are getting the stitches out on Friday. The surgeon wants to keep the cone on to stop infection
From experience he gets less problems if they keep the cone on longer with a TPLO operation. Hunter struggled to settle with the heat last night. Me too! @HAH I will try to sneak a power nap in later. I have to go back to work on Monday and a car service too so my son will be on charge on Monday..... Off to my parents next Saturday via Le Tunnel. Hopefully Hunter will be much improved by then as my OH will be in charge for a week. Onwards we go:happy:
