Hunter's Limping Again

I think it's brave of you to be so honest about the treatment. My vet was talking about PRP therapy... We may consider it. But it's important to know the procedure itself isn't all plain sailing , before you even get to the efficacy of the treatment. So difficult for you.

I’m so sorry. I hope you get him more comfortable for the weekend. Looks like the sofa is a good option—he looked really comfy in that pic! I find with Snowie that a massage down his spine, or anywhere really, really relaxes him when he’s uncomfortable. Will Hunter let you near him to do this? I usually do little circular pinching motions up and down his spine—I’ve heard it called the Tellington Touch. But I also do any kind of massage, and it always lulls him to sleep. (Trying to get my husband to do it on me, but I’m not as lucky!)

It was another awful night. I am convinced that he has an infection and is in lots of pain, as he keeps going round in circles, is trembling and tried to dig a hole in the garden at 1 in the morning to lie in it. I think he also pulled his stitches as they seem to be bleeding more. Off now to go to the vet. I am feeling like poop for doing this to him all in the hope of future improvement. I am going to find my Reiki lady and see if she help him later. He will not let me near him. He did eat, drink, wee and pooh though..so that is one positive. I have drugged him with painkiller this morning.

This is so bad for your Lorraine. Try not to be too hard on yourself, you did what you believed to be in his best interest, as we all do.

I really hope that you can get help to ease his pain and distress.

Good for you for recognising an infection. A dog’s temperature is actually a degree higher than a human’s. Although 40 is still higher than normal!
