It's a boy!! (Welcome ODIN)

I am having a vague memory of this with Merlin... He came to us on Vet-Concept dry food, and drank sooooo much water... We swapped him over to raw food pretty quickly, and he stopped drinking quite so much (although he has always been a dog who likes to drink quite a lot of water).

I must admit it crossed my mind about it being connected to the food. Purely as an observation, since Cass has been on raw food she hardly drinks at all - she can goes days without using her water bowl in the kitchen.

Rourke was on kibble and rarely drank at all! Flicka doesn't drink very much either but certainly more than Rourke did. Perhaps it is do with their metabolism?

With Snowie’s allergies, we finally tried a hydrolysed protein in the form of kibble. He’s been on raw his whole life and hardly drank additional water. Wow, on the kibble he drank till he burst (wet his bed a couple of times). We’ve reduced the kibble dramatically and I’m now cooking for him (elimination diet till we find out the problem). His water intake is less, but still he drinks a lot. The kibble must be very salty and very dry and who knows what else it contains to encourage so much drinking.

Are you feeding the same food as what the breeder fed?

Yes, I'm feeding the same food

Stanley drinks a lot more than Homer ever did. As a puppy Homer was only interested in splashing his water and his pee was quite concentrated. Stanley can pee for England! Although sometimes in his crate too.
Stanley was 12.5kg last week.
Odin weighs 16kg...he drinks 1500ml a day...Twice as much as he should. We have to let him out 5to 6 times in an hour and he has accidents in the house, just after he peed outside....The only time he doesnt pee is at night. He sleeps from 22:00 until 7:00.
