Thank you for asking @Loraseal. She is much better thank you. On our walk, she ‘chased’ a pheasant until F called her back. She wheezed a bit as she returned but no honking cough so far. She is perkier. Yesterday she was really zonked outHow is Red today?
Yes I hope so. Typically just after I posted, she started to honk but not as loud as yesterdayHopefully she's over the worst now
She’s still coughing but less like a honking goose - more raspy and generally first thing in the morning and when she gets up from her bed. She’s still very tired - lots of sleeping. She’s loving the honeyfingers crossed she’s on the mend
This is Day 5 and each day she is a little better. Whilst, she’s sleeping, she’s not coughing so I guess that’s nature’s way of healingAs long as it's improved. Ivers cough slowly dwindle but it took about 5 days. Tiredness really was a big part of the illness for Iver too.
Yes it can and even gentle exercise can make it worse. I've coughed for at least 7' daysSo the cough goes on - Red’s now had it a week. She’s not worse but she’s not better. Whilst resting she’s ok but once moving around she coughs. She’s doing the early morning walk to avoid other dogs and apart from a few coughs she’s ok. She eating as well as ever and enjoying her daily honey. No other symptoms except tiredness. I understand the cough can go on for 3 weeks - I really hope it doesn’t
