Lambies for Tadpole please.

Oh no, poor Tadpole, that must have been horrifying for everyone involved. I do understand the man was acting out of fear for his own beloved dog, but it doesn't stop it being a pretty shitty thing not to take responsibility.

Also: "Tadpole". Awesome!!! :inlove:

While there is something to like in all dog breeds, I didn't have the most warm and fuzzy view of Chihuahuas until I started fostering them. Now I'm totally smitten. They can be clannish (only like other chis) and one person dogs, but they are funny, fierce, cuddly and loving. Similar to why I love Bodegueros so much. Someday I'll have two dogs: one big slow and lazy dog and one chi or Bod to keep me laughing and the other dog from simply melding into a sofa.

Agree with @snowbunny - Tadpole's name is perfect! 😂

I and OH were once hiking up a steep and challenging Alpine mountain path, when we chanced upon two british hikers, with their two chihuahuas. These tiny little dogs were hopping up the path at speed! We stopped and chatted with the owners, who confirmed that the little chis were very tough, walked miles and miles and only had to be carried when there were big boulder areas to be traversed, or deep snow. They each had a backpack, which they would pop the chis in when necessary. I was VERY impressed (and the thought of Merlin on those steep mountain paths with the long drop-offs made me quite faint).

My friend in Regensburg with chihuahua Fine calls her an "Offroad Chihuahua" (as in SUV or 4x4). She runs miles next to Nadine on her bike along the Danube but gets popped into her backpack or her bike's basket if it gets too much due to heat or rain. I have to admit that I'm a wreck when we walk together because I envision all sorts of dangers to her, mainly other bike riders who don't see such a small dog on the path, but luckily my friend has stronger nerves than I and treats her like a dog 10 times her size.

Once little Tadpole recovers it will likely be harder for his owner than Tadpole to get back out on the trail.

Nelly is long coat Chihuahua X Shih Tzu , but has the face and build of Chihuahua . Funny because never ever did I see myself having a dog such as this , always had terriers or gundogs but my goodness, what a little trouper she is  No lagging behind on long walks for this little tyke , we are now smitten with them x
