I feared they wouldn't have any! They don't have the lower dose, Rourke is right on the cusp! It goes up to 30kg and then the higher dose is from 30kg upwards, so he is on higher dose.

Hunter is also on the edge but I chose the lower dose. Regret it now as the lower dose has not worked as good. I hope it helps Rourke. X

Thanks for that. I did choose the lower dose, thought it safer to introduce slowly and then have a higher dose if needed. No lower dose in stock! So pleased you make me feel better about it.

Hunter had his injection yesterday and he had the higher dose.
This is the first time he had a slight reaction. He was very tired afterwards and seemed "off". Occasionally I caught him shaking.
My OH commented on his sprint for a wee on his final walk. Luckily I also remember @Natalie mentioning about the weeing so I was on full Hunter alert last night. At 5 am I heard the teeniest of cries at the kitchen door and his movement (old house). So I rushed out of bed and opened the kitchen door and Hunter raced into garden for Weeageddon . Hunter rarely wees/poohs in our small garden and only when needs must.
He seems much perkier today but I am going to talk to the vet about the low dose version which is almost impossible to get at the moment.
@Jelinga have you seen any improvement in Rourke?

Rory didn't have any wee issues at all. Some dogs don't.

Am feeling very depressed this morning, Rourke has been lame and now is very, very lame, I had hoped it would improve overnight, but just as bad. I fear I will be losing him. I saw vet on Thursday afternoon when the limp was nowhere near as bad, there really is no treatment as he cannot take pain killers. I had a horrible thought, lameness was the first problem I noticed with my very first dog and this turned out to be osteosarcoma, I pray this is not what is happening to Rourke.

What has the vet told you? Can Rourke take paracetamol or is it no painkillers at all? It must be very upsetting for both of you. How is Rourke in himself?
