Had a wet bed last night. Really odd.
I was awakened by repetitive licking not sure if it was her bed she was licking or herself. And really strong fishy smell.
I got up and found she was sitting in a damp stinky bed. Urgh.
Had a bit of a clean up. Checked her pee sample first thing and there was a fair bit of blood but not much else and Sophie checked and saw her vulva was inflamed again.
Bugga.
Got some isoderm from the vet.
Things were going so well too.....

When I checked her vulva this morning she flinched and had a slight growl as soon as I touched it. This evening when I put the isaderm gel on, she didn’t flinch at all, so it must’ve been almost soothing for her? Not sure if that’s possible.... but hopefully it’ll clear up again soon

Just wondering... anal glands? If one was really full and emptied itself, it would cause a bit of a wet patch. Though nothing like wee would, of course. Also there is often a lot of licking going on when they are a bit irritated? I can often tell when Monty's are full.

Her breath may smell similarly fishy from all the licking too... though does wear off after a while, of course. It's also a slightly metallic smell, though mostly fishy

Can’t say I really smelled it.... I’ve been out at work most the time - although I did smell a very pee-like odour as I was walking out the door this morning

Ah, poor little girl, what a nasty problem to have that needs having her nether regions touched. Their natural instinct - well in fact any animal's including hoomans, natural instinct - is to protect themselves from that type of contact. So difficult for you all x
