Limping again

Happy to report that metacam , a good rest and no play allowed has seen an improvement . I took Reuben for a walk around the village last night , so that he would be tired and less inclined to want to play , it worked . This morning , I took them both to the woods , Paul managed a little way with me , then took her back to the car whilst I carried on with the boy and I will do the same this afternoon and for the next few days to allow her leg to recover . Felt awful sending her back to the car but its ultimately for her good x

We were told the beach was a no go area for pups under 1 year of age.....
Us, too. Our boy didn’t see the beach till he was 10 months old—the age the breeder said he could go. And then only for 20 mins max. And yet I see loads of pups at the beach!

Mama Red HOT Pepper
Aww...glad she's feeling better. I imagine Paul is appreciating the extra snuggles at the cafe, big softie that he is. :)

Funny about the beach as I was always told the exact opposite of what everyone is saying above, namely that the sand was good for the joints and much better to walk on than hard dirt or concrete. I could have sworn that both my ortho surgeons said it was better to walk them at the beach than on the neighborhood sidewalks, for example.

On the other hand, I remember the exact moment Mama Jodhi's cruciate tore because I was watching her fly down the beach after Brogan and it just crumpled underneath her. :(

Poor munchkin must be feeling rotten , she has done the unthinkable and snapped at Reuben a couple of times today, for no reason other than he walked past her , I guess its a natural defence mechanism , because its been thus far unknown x
