An old friend of J's was once sitting on the edge of the bath, towelling his hair, when his new kitten walked into the room, saw the jiggling "mousey" and ... jumped up and caught hold with all his claws out

The bittersweet part is that he was paralysed a few years later, and he always used to recount the story and have everyone in stitches, but always finished with something along the lines of, "Of course, if that happened now, I wouldn't even notice".
