I’ve got the clever dog, it’s brilliant - it also motion sensors so even if your asleep etc it detects what they have done and takes a photo of it

Actually its for something a little more concerning . For the past couple of months , every so often during the night , Reuben will shake . Its definately not dreaming , its far more violent than dreaming , his whole body will shake , he makes no noise at all but it is enough to wake me and actually shake the bed, lasting a couple of minutes . I had a chat with the Vet about it , and am to keep a diary but it could be seizures . It happens about two or so times a week , she says he may grow out of it or he may not and so requested a footage if at all possible . I`m not going to get paranoid about it , what will be will be , and I am keeping a glass half full attitude but just thought a video may help xx

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, Kate. I really was hoping it was some clever scheme you were cooking up for Paul. Hopefully the camera will help you figure out what is going on with Reuben and that he will outgrow it.

Sorry to hear you're having such a worry, Kate. Hopefully it's nothing. Squidge used to get the occasional very dramatic dream when she was in a deep sleep when she was younger. Fingers crossed it's the same with young Reuben.

I know you don't think it is dreaming but Maisy does this at night, the whole bed shakes and her whole body twitches and shakes quite badly.
It always passes and I have never worried about it. Video evidence is a good idea, technology eh?

Thank you, its comforting to know that others have experienced the same thing . Reuben is fit as a fiddle , and this never ever happens during the day time when he is having a nap, only during the night so hopefully is it nothing to worry about xxxx

I wish I could describe what its like ! He does dream during the day and evening , the usual feet flicking , little noises , mouth twitching and eyes rolling but this is a lot more violent , its like his whole body is jumping !

Sounds like the occasional Maisy nightmare. She doesn't always whimper but her whole body is thrashing about. Fingers crossed for you.

Trying to think , he seems to be labouring a little , almost like heavy panting but no open mouth .Hope it's something of nothing, and simply part of growing up. Still, these pups do worry us!Does his breathing sound normal during these episodes?

Lilly has the odd violent bed shaking episode as well with almost whooping like breathing. Last a minute or so. Quite infrequently though....maybe seen her 3 or 4 times.
I had always thought "oh no a seizure!" Then told myself don't be silly, just a dream.
Videoing is a good idea but it's still pretty hard to tell.
In humans, fits faints and funny turn analysis always benefits from videoing and a diary to get an answer.
Hoping it's all quite benign xx

Ella has done this once or twice too. The first time I freaked and touched her, immediately waking her. When I spoke to the vet, they said the fact that she was easily woken meant that it was likely a dream as you can't just "snap-out" of a seizure. Not that they recommended waking them, it was just an involuntary reaction from me.
