My dog cannot walk

Reuben is , without doubt, the most enthusiastic dog I have ever had the pleasure of having as a friend but he has to do everything at top speed  The only time he actually walks is when on lead , so thats not very often , this apart he either canters or gallops , no wonder he is so skinny , he never stops running when walks permit , such as the forest trails or the beach . His favourite thing to do is to run like the wind stretching out those long lanky legs , then me recall and him come flying back . Its no wonder he is shattered after just an hour on the beach , must be the equivalent of five hours for him :ram:

That's lovely Kate, although I must admit the title of your post had me panicking!:whew:

I think it’s lovely to have a dog like that . Reuben sounds full of the joys of life.

Toffee is a really happy dog, he nearly wags himself off his feet when he sees someone when we’re out. We have a statue of a wherryman in the village and he always greets that with a really enthusiastic tail wag as well .

I have a son like that πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚

Charlie very rarely walks. He is 9 years old and is still 0 to 60 in 3.2 seconds when the lead comes off  I have never known anything like it. My vision of having two dogs was having a friend for Hattie to walk with in the forest and on the beach. Charlie runs whilst Hattie looks on waiting for him to check in whereupon she tells him off for being an ass  I just don't know when he will slow down even a little bit. xx
