I agree that she's trying to string you alone and appear like she is going to pay you, when she has no intention of doing so.

Also, the nerve to make up a story about your dogs being aggressive! That's ludicrous. And doesn't change the fact that her dog is dangerous and out of her control.

As its exactly a year ago today that little Nelly was attacked , I thought I would give you a little update . On the whole, she is amazing, our little 4 kilo soldier , she manages well on her three legs most of the time but she does get tired , so this is when the pushchair comes into its own . She absolutely loves it, despite the odd comment from people saying that dogs should not be pushed , they should walk , and I`m afraid my responses have not always been polite . If only they knew what this tiny dog had endured with a stoic attitude and never so much as a growl !
I did take advice with regards to taking the owners of the mastiff to court . However , she , as the registered owner , is now on Universal Credit and at the end of the day , you cant get blood out of a stone . I know that I may have been able to make her pay a nominal sum out of her benefits, but I have decided to try and put them out of my mind as it still causes me awful flash backs and so I put all my efforts into making Nellys life as happy as I can , Reubens too of course . Their house is still on the market so just maybe when it sells , I will take them to court . Our tiny warrior is at least almost eleven years old now and all I can say is , what a dog xxxx

I often think about Nelly and so admire her. It must have been appalling for you seeing her attacked, no wonder you have flashbacks and then the amputation afterwards. Maybe the owner of the dog is also having flashbacks. It is the best thing you are doing, to put it out of your mind and concentrate on giving Nelly and Reuben the happiest of lives. xx
