New dog walker!

I don’t know what I’d do if I needed a dog walker. My husband has a calf injury right now, so I’m on double walk duty. Our cleaner takes our dog to the park when she works at our house. And she looks after Snowie when we go away—he gets a very slow leash walk (she’s a slow walker) twice a day. But she’s the only person we trust to walk/look after our boy. I get asked all the time by dog walkers if I want them to walk my dog. I don’t need them cos I love to walk. But I don’t know what I’d do if I did need a walker’s services. It sounds like you’ve luckily found someone good.

Sounds excellent and hope it goes well when they are on there own.
Sure it will be a big relief if it all works out, which I am sure it will.

Glad it went well Naya. Good luck and hope this is what you are looking for. xx

There are loads of dog walkers where I live. When I needed one a while back I got a lady round for a chat that I had met on walks. I asked her what would she do if Charlie pulled on his lead, her reply was "I would smack him on the nose" I asked her to leave  I see them doing the shortest of walks for £15 per hour. Sorry to say I haven't met one that actually does what they say they will. Shame. xx

Harley is just back from her walk with the new dog walker........he said she was brilliant :dug:. He is going to take her on 😀. He took the collie he walks with them today and said she basically said hi then ignored him. She ran around with his 2 dogs and even when his younger dog was barking in her face and jumping all over her (like the other day when she told him off) she ignored him. He said she came back every time he called her, she never wandered far from him and he had her off the long lead for the last half hour and she would keep checking in with him even when he didn’t call her. He said she is such sweet natured and he thinks she amazing :sun:. They walked past several dogs and she walked by his side off lead and didn’t react to anything. It’s such a relief :celebrate:

Just thinking that she's not reacting because the dog walker is calm and confident therefore helping her be calm and confident. Not saying that you're not calm and confident but its only natural that we do have even the slightest hesitation to situations that they pick up on where someone different helps them just get on with it.

We have a friend who occasionally takes Homer out who has a no nonsense approach with him, even when H was at his worst with anxiety he would happily, tail wagging high follow Tony down roads that he's flatly refuse to go near with us.

So glad you've found the right person.
