I don’t reward with food for a wee. My first two would do just enough for a treat, confusing the issue completely. So all they get now is a “good boy” and a play in the garden after a wee/poo.

Does he go out for a wee with ripple? Will ripple wee reliably as certain points or on command? I used send the big ones out for a wee when I knew they needed to go, ask them to go and the pup would usually do it with or after them. He would especially like to copy Doug. It really helped Rory
That's an interesting thought, I hadn't considered that at all. I'll have to see if Ripple is ok with Toffee there with him, if he is that might well work.

This is definitely what we're getting - the trickle for a treat . Something else we need to think about.

Having a puppy definitely keeps you on your toes :D.

@Boogie I read your post about putting the collar on when you're about to feed them. I've found this absolutely brilliant, Toffee sits really well for his food so I pop his collar on easily and then he gets his meal. Thank you for this, I've spent ages in the past trying to wrestle a collar on to puppies (although I note it didn't work so easily for you this time with Spencer).

Oh well that's me sacked - Toffee has been sick on my watch (and eaten most of it again). Then, in a desperate attempt to get to the rest of the sick on his blanket, managed to get his mouth stuck through the safety gate . No damage done to his mouth (frightened the life out of me), sick cleared up; but he ran to OH when he got home for big cuddles and kisses, and then fell asleep in his arms.
We are off to the vets anyway this afternoon so he'll be having a check over. But OH is very worried that he might have eaten something in the garden.

He had a thorough check up at the vets and the only thing wrong was his anal glands were full, so they were emptied. Apart from that, no temperature, nothing; the vet said his glands were very full so that could have been why, if they were making him feel uncomfortable. But other than that we don't know.
He's very sleepy this afternoon - not much change there then - but he has had his exciting trip out to the vet.
We'll just have to see how he is later.

Toffee seems back to normal today: outside for a wee, cuddles from OH, breakfast, cuddles from OH, riots round the dining room, cuddles from OH, annoying Ripple, cuddles from OH, back to sleep.
I get to take Ripple for his walk while most of this is going on.

And I am working on the videos, for anyone who is patiently waiting :D , I'm just not very good at it .

Such good boys. Ripple wants to play but is unsure and toffee is getting braver. So nice to see them both together. They are definitely getting there a few more weeks and I bet they will be friends
