Not feeling ruff but found a lump!

What a relief for you Donna , fingers crossed it disappears soon . I am paranoid about lumps, understandably after the outcome of Sams lump , but my ethos is that every lump needs to be seen by a Vet , if only for peace of mind xxx
You & Sam were my first thoughts when I saw it Kate to be honest. You can’t help but go into panic mode before you start to then try to be more rational in your head. A good friend looked at it too today and says she wouldn’t mind betting it’s a spider bite. We managed to get it in the right light and you can just make out two tiny puncture type marks. Will for sure be keeping an eye on it.

Thanks for asking, no it's not bothersome to her at all, it's very tiny. The vet says it's fine for now, just an innocuous wart, but if it grows too big and disturbs her eye then we'll have to have it removed.
Oh that’s good that it’s not bothering Poppy, Karen. Eyes can be rather sensitive areas.

Hi Donna. I was just wondering how Dexter's lump is after a couple of days of antibiotics. Probably too soon to tell. From what you described Scout had a very similar lump in a similar place a couple of years ago which was an abscess. I'm guessing if your vet has given Dexter antibiotics they may be thinking abscess too. I'm sure Dexter being the star he is your vet was able to examine it thoroughly to check for foreign bodies like grass seeds. Of course Scout would'nt allow that. She gave him a week of antibiotics but said if it hadn't gone down he'd need to be sedated. Fortunately although it hadn't gone completely after a week it had improved enough that she wasn't worried, gave him another week of antibiotics, it went away and never came back. While he was on the antibiotics I did have a root about through his fur around the abscess and eventually found a tiny mark that could've been the site of a puncture wound. Probably caused by his brother while playing their favourite let's pretend to kill each other game. It might be worth having a root around Dexter's cheek on the off chance. Abscesses drain down so puncture wounds are usually just above. Just a thought anyway. xx

Hi Jen @Jennifer, glad Scout’s lump cleared up & you didn’t need to go down the sedation route. Dexter’s lump is going down the last couple of days. It’s not been painful for him at all, which is good. He’s still got a few more days of antibiotics to get through and is back at the vet tomorrow for a check.
