Not quite right

Yes split nails can be very painful. Can you cut it back so it doesnt hurt when he walks? Or do you think it will be ok if you just leave it?
I`m leaving it for now and see how he goes . I am booking Nelly in for her nails cutting by the Vet nurse so I can ask them to take a look at the same time xxx I took them to Golitha this afternoon , it was very quiet and I didnt throw balls for him , all going well until he spotted a squirrel

Poor love , his nail was split down the side , it could be sort of rocked open to expose the bed . The Vet has trimmed it right down as far as she dares , he has had an antibiotic jab and tablets to continue for a further six days , I am to give him his paracetamol three times a day . At the moment, it is too attached to remove so its a case of keeping an eye on it and bathing in warm salt water twice a day , he was such a good boy xxx

Reubs is booked for a check on his nail tomorrow morning . It looks a lot better but is still moving so as advised last week , he is having it looked at so I just hope he wont have to have it removed . He hasnt been to Playgroup for almost two weeks now because he is such a tank , I dont want to risk him catching it and making it worse xx
