I`m afraid he is going to have to wear his inflatable collar when we are not with him , he was on the bed last night and was licking at it, so needs must . In himself he seems alright, tail still wags , eating and drinking fine but oh it does look so sore . I am to keep it open to the air unless we go out and then a sock on it , Debbie has given me a rather fetching bright orange scrunchie to secure the sock , he will look a sight but it will protect it xx

It looks awful but no puss or swelling so I guess we just have to wait for the antibiotics to kick in xxx

Doug's nails were like this with SLO. It will dry out once the infection is clear. I used to flush with hibiscrub if he went outside and made sure it was dry. Once the quick dies back its usually ok.

I was so proud of Reuben last night when I put his buster collar on at bed time , he just accepted it and went to sleep using it like a pillow , he never moved bless him . He still has five days of antibiotics left to take, which he eats like treats , Vets for a check in the morning xx

We should have been at the Vets at 9 this morning but our little close is a sheet of ice so thankfully they have got him in at 2 when hopefully the lanes will be less treacherous xx

On the whole, the Vet was quite pleased but decided that another course of antibiotics would be advisable as there is still a bit of infection , also he is allowed walks now and diluted hibiscrub washes when he gets home , thank goodness for my doggy first aid box ! xxx

Good job taking care of Reuben’s poor paw, almost there! He will enjoy a good walk

I'm sure Reuben will be glad to be going out for walks again, and although his toe will be sore, the antibiotics will be doing their thing and he'll soon be back to normal. xxx
