When is the funeral Sonia? It's a worry, I know, but if you've given them the number they surely can't back out? Hope it can be a bit of a celebration of Mike's life and a time for you, friends and family to share precious memories and give each other support. Still in my thoughts. xxx

The wake is at a new pub which had only been open three weeks, they invited the residents to a special pre-opening night and in two sessions 500 people went, all had a free drink and nibbles! So when I phoned to ask them if they could do a wake, they offered the private dining room upstairs which seats 20-25 but can take far more standing. First of all I asked for 25 and then had a panic attack when neighbour said there would be far more people than that. I phoned them again and they agreed to 30, I can't remember if I said 35 as well. Yesterday when we had a sandwich lunch there the under manager was a little doubtful, I will phone tomorrow for confirmation. The funeral is Thursday at 12 noon which is probably not a good time for The Plough and Harrow. I thought it rather nice to keep the funeral local to the village.

Our capacity to deal with worries isn't infinite, and in times of stress our "worry bucket" easily overflows.
Having time out and spending some quality time on yourself to replenish your capacity isn't a luxury but a necessity.
