Lilly went in for a swim… Oreo got chucked in to clean her Will post some photos after I’ve had a rest. It was really misty/drizzly up there so not really any views!

Wifi is soooooo slooooooow in the evening.....

So this morning we drove from our lovely little cottage in Hackthrope, through so(very) high and twisty roads () and this is the view we got… we seemed to be driving into the clouds!

The road descended into Ambleside where we parked up, after trying to find a space for ages!

We headed off on our walk following directions from our little book…

As we climbed up and up, we reached a small tarn, where the girls had a dip and Zoomies!

We proceeded along one of MANY paths, and finally reached the top… such lovely views again

Going down a little, we found Lily Tarn!

Lilly had a wee swim, and Oreo got thrown in to clean her

Heading back down the hill into Ambleside…

We have not long finished our pizza & wine, and are currently watching All Creatures Great & Small (or at least trying to with this awful wifi!!)

Today we saved fuel and walked from our holiday house to Lowther Castle.
Now. Mr. Google maps says this is 38mins walk.
But no, no, I read in the guest book that its nice to take the bridle path opposite and walk through the grounds.
But hey, England don't have the same rights to roam as Scotland and have lots of "Private" signs and locked gates and high fences.....
After eleventy six hours we arrived.
Had some sustenance.
Walked around the pretty grounds.
Walked the 38min Google route home
