Poppy seizures - medicating with Pexion

Hmm to be honest I have not yet licked a tablet as we have had no issues with tablet taking. However I think I would also do the same as you to understand why.
Maybe it's a Labrador owner special behaviour trait?
So pleased to hear that Poppy is happy and responding well.

Update - six months in and Poppy is doing brilliantly on the Pexion. She was on 2 x 400 mg, but we have dropped the dose slightly to 2 x 300 mg. She shows no adverse reaction to the meds.

Looking back over this thread and my notes, it is clear that she has often had seizures in January and July. Fingers crossed she is ok this year on the medication!

That’s such good news. So pleased to read this. Fingers crossed that she sails through July seizure free. xxx

We are having a bit of a difficult time with Poppy at the moment.

She seems happy during the day, but in the evening she often becomes agitated and nervous. She has taken against her lovely cuddly bed I bought her, and also does not want to be in the living room with us in the evenings, but goes to her other bed under OH's desk in his studio. If we call her in to us, she will come in and sit with us, but at the first opportunity she gets up and slinks back out to the studio. Often she seems shaky and worried in the evenings. I don't know what is going on with her - we think maybe she has had a fit in the night in her bed in the living room and now associates the evening and the living room with Something Bad About To Happen.

I feel that if she were not on the Pexion she would be working up to a big fit. This is making Toby and me both very sad and worried about her. :(
