Those up and down days are a rollercoaster. Thinking of you and Poppy. We have similar with Snowie. At our visit with the vet last week, he said Snowie will live forever—he was so bright and cheerful. But in the last few days he’s erupted in infected sores and his limp has worsened and he’s been very flat. I’m hoping today will pick up—we are meeting his bestie at the beach.

Pleased to read the AB helped Poppy so much. So sorry to read about Snowie, it is a roller coaster for you both. I can remember being in tears with Rourke, wondering if 'this would be his last day' it is a sad time. Treasure their well moments and put those memories into your hearts.

Sigh - we finished the course of antibiotics on Friday evening. This morning there was a lake of pee by the front door, despite us having got up in the night to let her out, and Poppy couldn't settle and was back to trying to pee every few minutes. Another Sunday visit to the vets, and now we are back on the antibiotics. In addition, she is drinking a lot and therefore having to pee a lot, and it is a constant battle to get enough food into her, she seems to have largely lost her appetite. On the other hand, just yesterday she was still playing 'search for the dummy' in the garden, and went for a little walk into the woods with me. We had the conversation with the vet about Poppy's quality of life, and what we expect/want for her for the next days and weeks. We will see how she does on the ABs and painkillers - she looks chirpier again already this evening and no longer has the urge to pee constantly.
